This Beautiful Coastal Town of Budva in Montenegro
Vacation is over now! I am back to reality and time to hit the net again. That was another awesome trip I had lately visiting 5 countries in Southeast Europe including Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Albania. That was quite a tiring and exhausting trip but seeing the places we visited will surely take away all of it.
One of the places we visited was Budva. This historical coastal town is considered to be Montenegro’s most popular tourist destination. Our hotel is just located some meters away from the Old Town of Budva. In fact, I can see it from my hotel room. We stayed in a 4-star hotel named Avala Resorts and Spa. I love my room there and wish I could stay longer.
Boats and yachts on the harbor of Budva, Montenegro. I always took walks in here since our hotel is located very near the Old Town and the harbor.

There are a lot of travel experiences I wish to share about Budva. For now, just let me share these things. If my jetlag or I would say my bus lag, since it was a bus trip, is over soon, I will definitely share more travel experiences from this town.
Here are some things our tour guide shared to us during our sightseeing tour in Budva:
- Budva is 3,500 years old, which makes it one of the oldest settlements on the Adriatic sea coast.
- It is well known for its sandy beaches, diverse nightlife, and examples of Mediterranean architecture. With over 550,000 guests in the 2010 summer season, it is by far the most popular tourist destination in Montenegro.
- There is vast archaeological evidence that places Budva among the oldest urban settlements of the Adriatic coast. Substantial documentary evidence provides historical references dating back to the 5th century BC.
