Countryside Trip While Enjoying the Sceneries at the Bernina Pass
If you experience the train ride called Bernina Express, you surely have an idea on how beautiful are the sceneries you see while passing the so-calle Bernina Pass. It was truly an amazing experience seeing the beauty and wonder of nature while riding a train in this part of Europe. This is one of the reasons why I am loving this continent, the beauty of its landscapes wherever part you are.

Our journey during that train ride with the Bernina Express started in Tirano. It is a town in Valtellina, located in the province of Sondrio, Northern Italy and and is adjacent to the Switzerland-Italy boundary.
Instead of starting in St. Moritz, our bus driver told us that we will have to a start in Tirano and will go down in Pootresina. From there, there will be some minutes ride with the bus going to St. Moritz where we will have a short sightseeing.

I truly enjoyed that journey with the Bernina Express. I never imagine that I can experience such a journey, seeing the wondrous of nature! Hopefully in the future, I can also experience the Glacier Express and the Swiss Pass.

The Bernina Pass is a high mountain pass in the Bernina Range of the Alps, in the canton of Graubünden (Grisons) in eastern Switzerland. It connects the famous resort town of St. Moritz in the Engadin valley with the Italian-speaking Val Poschiavo, which ends in the Italian town of Tirano in Valtellina. The pass lies a few kilometres east of Piz Bernina. A lower pass is located west of the Bernina Pass, at 2,253 metres.
The Bernina Pass is crossed by road and rail, with a popular tourist train, the Bernina Express operating year-round between Chur and Tirano. The train crosses the lowest pass at 2,253 metres (at Ospizio Bernina) – it is the highest adhesion railway route in Europe.
